You’re reading the inaugural post on my new website. Years ago, when I started using the “Writtenbyamy” handle, I had no idea it would end up being a website, a brand, and now the name of my freelance writing and editing business.
But here we are.
So a little bit about me. I’m a professional writer and communicator. I have written news, sports and lifestyle stories for newspapers and magazines across Ontario – and I was even nominated for an Ontario Newspaper Award. After covering Toronto City Hall for years, I moved into communications, where I honed my strategic internal and external communications skills, as well as content creation and social media management skills.
I have always had a way with words and it’s fitting that I’m now launching – Written by Amy – my own business and one that skillfully uses words to create connections.
